Complete Accessory Specifications
Every accessory we sell is designed to work seamlessly with standard pallet configurations. Below you'll find detailed specifications, material options, and application guidance for each product category.
Pallet Collars
Convert any flat pallet into a reusable, collapsible shipping box
Pallet collars are hinged wooden frames that sit on top of a standard pallet, creating an adjustable-height box without the need for separate crating. Each collar adds approximately 200mm (7.9 inches) of height. Stack up to 6 collars to create a box up to 1,200mm (47 inches) tall. Collars fold flat when empty for efficient return shipping and storage — a folded collar occupies only 1/4 the space of an assembled one.
Our collars are manufactured from kiln-dried pine or spruce boards, 20mm thick, connected by galvanized steel hinges at each corner. The hinge design allows collars to fold inward from any side for easy loading access. Collars are compatible with standard EUR pallets (1200x800mm and 1200x1000mm) and US GMA pallets (48x40 inches).

Pallet Lids & Covers
Dust protection and stacking stability for collar-based packaging systems
Pallet lids complete the collar-based packaging system by providing a flat top surface for dust protection, weather shielding, and safe stacking. Our lids are manufactured from the same kiln-dried lumber as our collars and are designed to sit flush inside the top collar, creating a secure enclosed unit that can be stacked 3-4 units high in warehousing.
We offer three lid types: plywood lids (smooth, solid surface for maximum dust protection), slatted wood lids (ventilated for produce and perishable goods), and pressed wood lids (lightweight, ISPM 15 exempt for international shipping).
Available Sizes
Lids are manufactured to match all standard collar sizes: 1200x800mm, 1200x1000mm, and 48x40 inches. Custom lid sizes available for non-standard collar configurations with a 100-unit minimum order.
Stacking Specifications
When properly positioned inside the top collar, lids distribute the weight of stacked units evenly across the collar frame. Maximum stacking: 3 loaded units high with plywood lids (2,250 kg total), 2 loaded units high with slatted lids (1,500 kg total). Always verify stacking capacity against your specific load weight.
Cost savings tip: A collar + lid system replaces disposable cardboard boxes at 1/10th the per-trip cost over a 50-cycle lifespan. For a company shipping 500 units per month, switching from single-use boxes to collar systems saves $15,000-$25,000 annually in packaging costs alone.
Dividers & Layer Separators
Protect individual products within pallet loads
Dividers and layer separators prevent product-to-product contact damage during transit. They distribute weight evenly between layers, reduce shifting, and create compartments within pallet loads. We stock three material types: corrugated cardboard, solid fiberboard, and plastic (HDPE and polypropylene).

Industry Applications
- Glass bottle layer separation to prevent breakage
- Automotive parts compartmentalization within collar boxes
- Electronics product isolation for anti-static protection
- Produce layer support to prevent crushing lower layers
- Chemical drum separation for hazmat compliance
Stretch Wrap & Banding
Secure and stabilize pallet loads for safe transit
Stretch Wrap Film
Stretch wrap is the most common method for securing pallet loads. The film stretches 150-300% during application, creating a tight, elastic bond around the load that holds products in place during transit. We stock both hand-grade and machine-grade rolls in multiple gauges and widths.
Plastic Banding & Strapping
Banding provides concentrated holding force at specific points on the load — ideal for heavy, rigid products that stretch wrap alone cannot fully secure. We stock polypropylene (PP) for standard applications and polyester (PET) for heavy-duty loads.
Strapping Tools & Accessories
- Manual tensioner/sealer combo tools — $85–$150
- Battery-powered strapping tools — $800–$2,500
- Metal seals/buckles for PP strap — $15–$25 per 1,000
- Friction-weld seals for PET strap — $20–$35 per 1,000
- Dispensing carts and racks — $45–$120
Corner Boards & Edge Protectors
Prevent strap crush damage and reinforce load corners
Corner boards (also called edge protectors or angle boards) are L-shaped protective strips applied to the vertical corners of a pallet load. They serve two critical functions: preventing banding and stretch wrap from crushing product corners, and creating rigid vertical pillars that dramatically increase the compression strength of stacked loads.
Studies show that adding corner boards to a standard pallet load increases vertical stacking strength by up to 50%. For a warehouse stacking 3-high, this means the difference between crushed bottom-tier product and a stable, damage-free stack. The cost of corner boards ($0.25-$1.50 per piece) is a fraction of the product damage they prevent.
When Corner Boards Are Essential
- Loads secured with polyester (PET) banding — PET strapping applies 600-1,400 lbs of tension that will crush unprotected corners
- Stacked pallet loads in warehouse racking — corner boards turn each layer into a rigid column, preventing compression collapse
- Fragile products with hard corners — glass, ceramics, electronics enclosures, furniture
- Loads with stretch wrap only (no banding) — corner boards prevent the wrap from cutting into product edges
- Loads that will be trans-loaded between trucks or containers — impact during handling concentrates at corners
ROI calculation: If product damage claims cost your company $500+ per incident and you ship 200+ pallets per month, adding corner boards at $1-$6 per pallet reduces damage claims by 40-60%. That is a payback period of less than one month for most operations.
Accessory Combinations by Application
The right combination of accessories maximizes load security while minimizing material cost. Here are our recommended accessory packages for common shipping scenarios.
Standard Warehouse Shipping
The baseline package for most domestic shipments. 3-4 wraps around the load with corner boards on all four vertical edges. Provides adequate load stability for truck transit and basic warehouse stacking up to 2-high.
Heavy-Duty Industrial Loads
For loads exceeding 2,000 lbs or products with sharp edges. Two vertical PET bands at 1/3 points with 3-inch corner boards, topped with 80-gauge stretch wrap for dust and weather protection. Required for steel, concrete products, and heavy machinery components.
Reusable Closed-Loop System
The most cost-effective package for companies shipping repeatedly between the same locations. Collar boxes eliminate disposable packaging entirely. Add plastic dividers between product layers for scratch prevention. After 50 cycles, per-trip packaging cost drops below $1.00.
International Export Shipment
Export loads face longer transit times, multiple handling events, and exposure to humidity. Use heavy-gauge stretch wrap for moisture resistance, PET strapping for tension retention over weeks of transit, and corner boards on all edges. Add a corrugated top cap sheet to protect from overhead condensation in ocean containers.
Food & Beverage Pallets
Food-contact environments require FDA-compliant materials. Use food-grade stretch wrap, fiberboard slip sheets between product layers, and a non-slip rubber mat between the pallet deck and the first product layer to prevent shifting without contamination risk.
Fragile / High-Value Products
Electronics, glass, precision instruments, and medical devices demand maximum protection. Custom die-cut dividers nest each product individually. Anti-static foam prevents ESD damage. The rigid collar structure prevents compression from above. Plywood lid seals the unit for tamper evidence.
